Best time to goApril → November Recommended duration2 to 3 days Trips1

Anakao is a Vezo fishing village facing the reef pass, south of Tuléar — the only way in is by boat, and that’s part of its charm. White beaches, a sheltered lagoon, outrigger canoes at anchor: the dream end of the road to finish the RN7.

Offshore, Nosy Ve island is home to a colony of red-tailed tropicbirds; the waters are well suited to snorkeling as well as diving.
